Windows 8-Possible Launch Date

Windows 8 launch date? wooh that sounds freaky does'nt it?
Its been only a while since the launch date of windows 7 and people like me have already started to thing what would windows 8 be like.

I don't have much idea about how it would like but after going through the windows roadmap we can surely make a precise guess about the possible launch date of windows 8.

Although this road map is for windows server,but it does give us some idea as to around when windows 8 should be released.

As you can see in the image that Windows server 2008 was a major release and was released in the year 2008,and and the next major server release is expected to be around 2012.

And as with windows vista and windows 7-both of them were released after the windows 2005 and 2008 respectively.

Taking this into consideration the most plausible year for windows 8 should be in the year 2013-again one year after the major Windows server release is expected.

:-) ~ Means probably or approximate and as we have seen with windows 7 that the final release date was not declared until the RTM(retail market) was very near.

Same can be expected to happen in the case of windows 8.

Its not confirmed yet that the next Microsoft operating system will be named windows 8-its just a code name.

Windows 7 was also a code name until it was finalised so we can expect some suuprises with name of next Operating system released by Micorsoft.
